  • DIA DE LOS MUERTOS: A Celebration of Life at the CLAC on Tuesday, November 2nd from 2-8:00pm.
    The Mexican American Student Association (MASA) and CLAC invite you to attend this year’s traditional Day of the Dead program. Visit their traditional altar created by students, then join them for two folk arts workshops on papel picado and calaveritas featuring Maria Vivar of Lazos America Unida at 2-3 PM and 4-5 PM, and participate by a face-painting/postcard making workshop with MASA members at 6-7 PM. A Mexica ritual dance performance by the Lazos Kalpulli closes the event at 7 PM, followed by a tasting of traditional Mexican delights of champurrado, tamales and pan de muerto. Commemorate the precious legacy of those who have passed on, and the gift of life for the living!
