(Which house are you from?)”- This question was shared by almost 3,000 Spanish children exiled to the Soviet Union during the Spanish Civil War, where Angelita Pérez spent twenty years in Russian boarding schools. She became a doctor in Moscow, a wife in Spain, and a mother in Portugal. This film is the director’s declaration of love to her mother, and a story of exile, return, memory, and identity.
