• SpanPort at the Hispanic Linguistics Symposium
  • Faculty and students from the department represent Rutgers at the Hispanic Linguistcs Symposium in Arizona.

Several students and faculty from the Department recently attended the Hispanic Linguistics Symposium, hosted this year at the University of Arizona in Tucson. While there, it became abundantly clear just how well-represented Rutgers was at this conference, and how broad and varied the impact of our community continues to be in the field.

Our SpanPort community delivered a total of 7 presentations, 1 poster, and 3 workshops/convened panels, featuring the work of current faculty (Joseph Casillas, Kendra Dickinson, and Nuria Sagarra), current students (Eva Corregidor Luna, Robert Esposito, Meritxell Feliu Ribas, Kaylee Fernández, Stephanie Rodríguez, Alexander Rogers, Jiawei Shao, Jorge Vargas-Mutizabal, and Diana Sánchez), and former students who are now faculty at other institutions (Iván Andreu Rascón, Ezequiel Durand-López, Juan José Garrido Pozú, and Patrick Thane).

Congratulations to all for such amazing work!
