The Adolfo Snaidas Essay Prize
In recognition of the late Professor Adolfo Snaidas, the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Rutgers, New Brunswick, announces the institution of the Adolfo Snaidas Essay Prize. This dedication marks the loss of one of our finest scholars and teachers.
A Rutgers professor for 40 years, Professor Snaidas was the Undergraduate Director at the Spanish and Portuguese Department until his passing in 2007. Yet despite his unexpected passing, both Rutgers and the Department of Spanish and Portuguese will continue to benefit from Professor Snaidas' abundant talents as a teacher, mentor, colleague and friend.
A prize consisting of a cash award conferred annually at the end of the spring semester for the best essay written by a graduate student.
