Patrick is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Dual Lab at the University of Houston (working with Prof. Anny Castilla-Earls). Starting in August 2025, Patrick will begin a position as assistant professor of Spanish Applied Linguistics at the University of Texas at Austin. His research aims to establish a theory of bilingual development, particularly in children, that accounts for the the structural characteristics of heritage and second language grammars and their relationships with environmental, educational, and developmental factors.
