Greetings and thank you for your interest in our programs in Spanish and Portuguese at Rutgers!
With a full range of courses in Spanish and Portuguese at the undergraduate and graduate levels, our faculty teach and participate in programs across the university. This year our professors taught courses in Comparative Literature, the Honors Program, Cinema Studies, Latino and Caribbean Studies, the Byrne seminars, and The Language Center. We also have ongoing initiatives with departments of Linguistics, Psychology, the Graduate School of Education, the Center for Latin American Studies, the Center for Latino Arts and Culture, and with several Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences departments.
We are proud of our multilingual students who put their communicative skills to work for reconciliation, intercultural understanding, and engagement on campus, in our local communities, and beyond. I invite you all to join us as we continue pursuing our mission at Rutgers, and work together toward a more peaceful and just world.
