Course learning goals:
- This is an introductory course for students with no previous study of Portuguese. The course is designed to introduce the basics of the language through readings in a variety of fields
- The main purpose of the course is to assist students in the beginner level of Portuguese, emphasizing basic language skills, listening, speaking, reading and writing.
- The course introduces students to the Brazilian culture through a variety of mediums such as readings, movies, music, and videos
- Engage in interactive activities, participate in group projects to practice greetings, vocabulary and grammar structures
- Acquire a basic level vocabulary in the targeted language
